Top Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson will headline the promotion’s upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) event at the O2 Arena in London, England, which takes place on March 8, 2014. Joining him in the UFC Fight Night 37 main event will be unbeaten 205-pound smasher Jimi Manuwa.

The undefeated light heavyweight’s long-awaited showdown with world number two Alexander Gustafsson is just weeks away.
And the 33-year-old scrapper gives the fans a rare glimpse into his preparations as he aims to make it four wins on the bounce.
He said: “So there’s four weeks to go until show-time and everything is running smoothly.
“My team are all pushing me and training and sparring is intense, we’re all pushing hard but training smartly as well. Last thing we want is an injury so trying to be as careful as we can.
“I’m also preparing my fighter Daniel Crawford as he’s fighting in Cage Warriors this weekend in London so I’m looking forward to cornering him and getting another victory for Lions Pride. Then it will be my time next.
“March 8th is coming closer. I’m feeling great and my body is starting to peak. I can feel the Lion King waking up and getting stronger as the days get closer.”
In addition to Gustafsson vs. Manuwa, the next UFC event in London will feature a lightweight co-main event rematch between Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson, who battled to a “No Contest” last October after “The Real Deal” was busted open by way of accidental foul
